Big Translation is a term used to describe a future vision of a large-scale involvement in translation by people speaking two or more languages. We have this vision at Stepes because although over half of the world population is bilingual or speaks more than two languages or dialects, translation is limited to few trained professionals. By streamlining the process, making translating easier through MT (machine translation) and putting the work on mobile devices, we hope to involve more and more people in global communication. We’d also like to allow multilingual subject matter experts to use their knowledge and translate whenever and wherever they want.
